When you go to a stadium to cheer for your team, you do it out of love for them, but also for the thrill of live sports, the connection with a community, and the overall atmosphere and experience that stadiums offer.
But, according to a new study we conducted at JustGamblers, fans are not having the same experiences across American stadiums. We analyzed reviews on TripAdvisor(1) of NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL stadiums across the country to identify which venues provide fans with the most satisfying experiences.
Taking the top spot is Lambeau Field(2), home of the Green Bay Packers (NFL). With a rich history dating back to 1957, the stadium received 88.5% five-star reviews out of 3,551 total reviews.
Fans are 18.3% more likely to leave a five-star review for Lambeau Field than for Acrisure Stadium(3), the only other NFL stadium to feature in the top 10, and a staggering 261% compared to the Washington Commanders' Northwest Stadium, which places last in terms of fan satisfaction.

Second on the list is PNC Park(4), hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB). The ballpark earned 83.8% five-star reviews from 6,187 total reviews. This means that fans are 4% more likely to leave a five-star review for PNC Park than to the third-ranking stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards(5). Home to the Baltimore Orioles, another MLB team, the stadium has 79.8% five-star reviews out of 5,122 reviews.
Fenway Park(6), the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball and home to the Boston Red Sox, comes in fourth, with 76.2% five-star ratings from a significant 17,623 reviews - the highest number of reviews left to a ballpark across America and among different sports.
Breaking the sequence of MLB stadiums is Kia Center(7), home to the NBA's Orlando Magic. The stadium, the only one from the NBA to feature among the top 10 stadiums with the best fan experience, places fifth with 76% five-star reviews from 2,475 total reviews.
Next is Busch Stadium(8), home to the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). With 75.6% five-star reviews out of 4,958 total reviews, the stadium ranks sixth.
Acrisure Stadium(9), another Pittsburgh stadium (second to PNC Park), is seventh on the list with 74.8% five-star reviews from 2,357 total reviews. Home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Acrisure Stadium is the second, and last, NFL stadium to feature in the top 10.
Eighth place goes to Wrigley Field(10), home of the Chicago Cubs (MLB), with 74.5% five-star reviews out of 9,989 total reviews. The stadium edges out Oracle Park(11) by just 0.5 percentage points, despite having nearly 2,800 more total reviews - hosting the San Francisco Giants (MLB), Oracle Parks places ninth with 74.00% five-star reviews from 7,182 total reviews. Rounding out the top ten is TargetField(12), home to the Minnesota Twins (MLB), with 72.56% five-star reviews from 1,629 total reviews.

On the other hand, Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders (NFL), offers the worst fan experience - only 24.5% of its 368 reviewers gave a five-star rating.
SoFi Stadium(13), hosting the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers (NFL), received only 29.2% five-star reviews out of 130 total reviews, placing it as the second-worst stadium in terms of fan satisfaction despite being a new facility, having opened in 2020.
Climate Pledge Arena(14), home to the NHL's Seattle Kraken, places third, with 30.1% five-star reviews from 176 total reviews, followed by Target Center, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) - the stadium has 30.6% five-star reviews from 301 total reviews.
With 41.2% five-star reviews out of a total of 369, Paycor Stadium(15), home to the Cincinnati Bengals, places fifth, while Capital One Arena(16), serving both the Washington Capitals (NHL) and Wizards (NBA), garnered 41.4% five-star reviews from 749 total reviews, taking the sixth spot.
Other stadiums offering the worst fan experience are PHX Arena (home to the Phoenix Suns, NBA, the stadium has 41.9% five-star reviews out of 153 total reviews), and Hard Rock Stadium(17) (hosting the Miami Dolphins, NFL, with 42.3% five-star reviews from a total of 436).
Highmark Stadium(18), home to the Buffalo Bills (NFL), places ninth, with 43.6% five-star reviews from 366 total reviews, while Rate Field, home to the Chicago White Sox (MLB), has 44.3% five-star reviews from 944 total reviews.
Something particularly interesting from the data is that seven of the top ten venues are MLB ballparks. This could be an indication that baseball's more intimate setting and pace may create natural advantages for fan engagement, something other sports’ stadiums struggle to replicate.
The Pittsburgh phenomenon, with two venues in the top ten, is another interesting finding, revealing the citywide culture of prioritizing fan experience regardless of sport.Looking deeper, successful venues seem to share a common philosophy: they create spaces where fans feel connected to both community and tradition. The emotional resonance of a place like Lambeau Field can't be manufactured with luxury boxes or giant video boards alone, which may be why SoFi Stadium, despite its $5 billion price tag and cutting-edge technology, lands near the bottom.

Methodology
We analyzed current stadiums and arenas for the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL using data from their respective Wikipedia pages.
We located each stadium's TripAdvisor page and collected review data. Stadiums with at least 100 reviews were included in the percentage of five-star reviews ranking.
